Rich Marier is a native of Canada who has traveled the world and now resides in the Sierra Nevada foothills near Lake Tahoe, California. His interest lies with the art and wildlife of the Arctic, the Pacific Northwest, Africa and Asia. Marier began painting in the early 1980's while  he worked with the Inuit communities and wilderness of the Arctic. He began sculpting stone early 2000 and is passionately challenged by the medium.

"In serenity is beauty." Marier's work seems to convey this thought with its clean, simple and elemental form and spirit.
